  • Leave me in the mountains. ๐Ÿ’œโœŒ๏ธ Experiencing nature has been something I didnโ€™t do much before I started larping. During the hardest times in my life spending time outdoors was challenge. Either because I was fearful of my own capabilities or because something was standing in my way. Now, after years of signing up for cabins in the woods to fight off monsters for a weekend, Iโ€™m finally getting out into nature simply to experience its beauty. Nature can be rough sometimes, though the spirit it invokes in me creates peace. I deeply enjoy hiking, building fires and the lessons Mother Earth has to share. Grateful for the weekend I spent with my friends in Vermont to celebrate Samhain. Retreated to a cabin in the woods to celebrate. This weekend was full of so much magic and love. We hosted a Samhain ritual in the top of a silo last night. Our circle was opened by @allisonzinner. She guided us through the experience with her craft. Without her we would be lost. We called upon our witch names. I became Nightingale throughout these traditions. The maiden, mother and crone danced among us with their lessons and when we rose this morning there was frost at our windows. As I waited for everyone to wake up, I brewed some coffee. Which then lead to making a fire so all who came would be warm.   • Introducing Daphne โ€œDee Knockoutโ€ Knox. She is the muscle in a crime family. Dee mostly acts as a bodyguard for the boss, special clients and anyone who needs a reminder of all the wonderful things the family has done for them. Im learning about how to participate in the collaborative storytelling on TikTok and enjoying diving into this characterโ€™s head space.Sometimes I have to form character mannerisms right at the start of an event. For me, that isnโ€™t enough time to be 100% happy with my performance. Creating characters on TikTok is giving me an opportunity to add more personality traits to my play in the safety of my own home to explore. The outtakes leaving me smiling but the reset of the scene goes help me improve. What I Loved: Trying this on in person allowed for me to find the right size! Vendor made alterations on location of the event and shipped to my home for no extra cost. The design makes me feel like Iโ€™m in a Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Considering working this into my weekly wardrobe.
